Describes the sources, corroboration steps and status-assessment approach used when a registry record is published or reassessed.
Purpose
This document describes, at a level suitable for public reference, how a registry record moves from a submitted source through to publication, and how its status is reassessed over time.
Sources
Registry records draw on source records supplied by recognised issuing authorities, supplemented where necessary by publicly available filings and licensing records. Every published record carries at least one source reference.
Assessment
A record’s status is assessed against the definitions set out in 1C-STD-004. Reassessment occurs on a scheduled cycle and on receipt of a new source that may affect the recorded status.
Currency and Correction
A record’s “last verified” date reflects the most recent assessment, whether or not the status changed as a result. Requests to correct a record are handled through the review and correction process.
