Institution
Governed for neutrality, accuracy and defensibility
Standards-setting, recognition decisions and day-to-day operations are separated across four functions, so that no single function controls every stage of a record's lifecycle.
Board of Directors
Holds overall accountability for the institution’s mandate, approves the institutional charter and material amendments to it, and appoints the leads of the Standards and Integrity and Recognition Authority functions.
Standards and Integrity
Develops and maintains the standards catalogue, runs the consultation process, and reviews methodology used in registry and due diligence work for consistency with published standards.
Recognition Authority
Assesses and decides applications for recognition as a jurisdictional certification partner or authorised agency, and reviews existing recognition arrangements.
Operating Leadership
Responsible for day-to-day operation of the registry and due diligence functions, including record publication decisions made in accordance with the applicable standards.
See the institutional charter for how these functions relate to the institution's purpose, scope and boundaries.
